Much Ado About Something
The work of William Shakespeare has been adapted to the stage in a number of ways over the years but perhaps none as colorful as this new mounting of the Folger Elizabethan Theatre Caribbean update of Much Ado About Nothing set in modern day Washington, DC during the annual summer Caribbean Festival.
Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Timothy Douglas, is by far one of Shakespeare’s most popular romantic and comedies. It is the story of two lovers who before their wedding day conspire to trick their friends, Beatrice and Benedick, into confessing their love for one another and a jealous family member who sets out to sabotage the wedding.
Official opening date for this production is October 21 and the show runs through November 29. Learn more here.
